"For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me."

All Good Things...

A familiar proverb states, “All good things must come to an end.” In a certain sense, it’s true. Life is a series of changes, and very few things are permanent. People change, situations develop, circumstances evolve, and almost everything eventually comes to an end.

Such is the case regarding our term of missionary service in France. A little over 10 years ago, we came to France for the first time and a burden was born in our hearts for this nation. For the past seven years, we have been actively involved in missions work through both A.I.M. and Missionary appointments. Now, the Lord has given us a new direction for our ministry, and we must say, “Au Revoir” to a country and to people that we love.

Although it is never easy to leave a field for which you have invested several years of prayer and labor, we are convinced that this move is in the will of the Lord, and we are excited about the new doors of ministry opening to us. Starting January 2006, we will be serving in our new position of Associate Pastor at the North Cities United Pentecostal Church. We are thrilled to be joining efforts with Pastor D.G. Hargrove and the Ministry Team of this dynamic, revival church, and we are excited about what God has in store for the future.

We are honored to have served in the cause of Foreign Missions, and are confident that we will have occasion from our new ministry position to be a continued blessing to Missions in general and to France in particular. We want to thank you, our Partners, for your faithful support in finances, prayer, and encouragement throughout our term of missionary service. We could not have served without your support, and we are forever grateful for the confidence that you placed in us, allowing us to represent you and the cause of the gospel in the nation of France.

In a certain sense, the proverb is true and all good things do come to an end. Yet, for the child of God, there are some clear exceptions. Psalm 100:5 tells us that “the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” The prophet Jeremiah lets us know that the Lord’s compassions fail not, for they are renewed every morning (Lam. 3:22-23). In proclaiming the advent of the Messiah, the prophet Isaiah declared, “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end” (Isa. 9:7). Through faith in Jesus Christ, we receive everlasting life, consolation and good hope (John 6:47, 2 Thess. 2:16).

As children of God, we have this assurance: though chapters may close in our lives, and some good things may come to an end; the Lord’s goodness, compassion, mercy, and truth are everlasting. In His eternal kingdom, we find everlasting life, peace, consolation and good hope. These good things have no end!

May God bless you richly for your prayers and support!
