A Place to Call Home...

Dear Friends & Partners,

We just got back from a wonderful week in France.  We went there in hopes of finding a home and the right school for our kids - a pretty tall order for just one week.  But the Lord opened the doors, and we found everything we'd hoped for, and more!

We were looking for a three-bedroom apartment in the city, but what we found was a brand new garden home in a quiet neighborhood.   This home has four bedrooms and a small yard, yet rents for less than the apartments we looked at.  There are even children in the neighborhood that are the same age as our kids - it's a perfect situation!

We also found a wonderful school for Steven and Rachel.  We were hoping for a school that could accommodate American kids and help them integrate into the French education system.  What we found, however, was a very respected institute that offers a bi-lingual program and is willing to customize a curriculum just for our kids.  They will receive all this specialized attention, and the tuition is still less than what we budgeted for!

As we were enrolling the kids at their school, the registrar mentioned that they would need to know our address as soon as we found a home in France.  I told her that we had actually located a place the previous day.  She was shocked when I explained that we had just found a brand new home within walking distance of the school.  She replied that new homes are simply not that easy to find to France, particularly in such a short time-frame, and then added, "you must be very lucky people!"

We know, of course, that luck had nothing to do with it.  Many of you prayed with us concerning this trip, and the Lord surely went ahead of us to prepare the way.  Seeing how everything fell into place so perfectly is a real faith-builder for us, and makes us so excited about what God has in store.

Thank you for your faithful support in finances and prayer. Our ministry in France is only possible through your partnership!

Yours for France,

The Schoberts
Steve, Kristin, Steven II, & Rachel
